Application
In NC systems is TRANS connected during a whole machining time. In this case an advantage of using TRANS instead of punched tape reader is most remarkable. It brings particularly an increased reliability and operability of NC systems. In CNC is TRANS destined for loading of partprograms to system memory or for debugged programs to TRANS. Last but not least a direct connection of punched tape reader to TRANS is possible. This solution can be used when some partprograms are available on punched tape only.
A full advantage utilization of removing punched tape and magnetic tape readers from the systems exhibits during connection of the systems to DNC network. In DNC network a group of machines is connected to a computer on which storage media are created and stored partprograms for relevant machine group. To DNC network can be connected per TRANS also NC and older CNC machines which are neither software nor hardware fitted for network connections. In such a case each machine must be equipped with its own communication adapter TRANS. The DNC network were designed with regards of most economical aspects and can consist of several lines. On one line can be connected up to až 10 TRANS adapters.
