Characteristic
The control system CNC8x9 DUAL is a digital electronic equipment which consists of a control unit and a control panel with a flat color LCD 15” display. The control unit and the control panel can be assembled together in one compact unit or can work separately. The control unit contains a main board ATX, with two processors INTEL PENTIUM III. The first processor is destined for ”panel” function that means user interface through keyboard , process monitoring via various screen formats and partprogram preparing including partprogram I/O functions. The second is destined particularly for real time calculation of trajectories and services the PLC part destined for system matching to particular machine. Both processors on the main board shares a memory destined for communication.
Notice: The second processor on the main board is equivalent to processor desk CPU04 (placed in a mainframe in systems CNC8x6). This mainframe is not used in DUAL series systems.
The control unit contains:
- The VGA card for display control.
- The LAN adapter for system connection to WINDOWS network.
- The CDIST card for connecting distributed serial inputs and outputs.
The systems series DUAL use for inputs and outputs serial distributed peripherals only. Up to 8 external peripheral units can be connected to one coaxial cable. (e.g. INOUT07). A protocol controlled communication is used among peripherals and the main board. The INOUT07 unit can read 4 input ports and set 3 output ports or can be adjusted for matrix scanning of 56 inputs. A PLC program can control on each external peripheral units 8 so called ”fast autonomous output to input reaction”.
- The SU05 cards for coordinate control (set of two cards for 4 axis) - optionally increased.
If the control unit is separated from the control panel, connection via videocable ( maximum length 40 m) and a keyboard cable is established
A part of the PLC ( a programmable machine interface) is a system part destined for providing auxiliary functions and mechanism of relevant machine. PLC is a unique and different for every machine type and its programming needs detailed knowledge of machine functions. Programming is provided by manufacturer or is a user programmable. For interface programming and debugging an integrated design tool WinTechnol is delivered. WinTechnol runs on IBM PC type computers with operating system WINDOWS95/98.
